What I Ate: Day 28/31 Day Photo Challenge

I love everything miniature. If anyone out there could get there hands on one of those miniature display tents or sleeping bags they have at the sporting goods stores, I'd be eternally grateful! So obviously when I saw these TINY potatoes I had to buy them. Immediately.  They tasted delicious roasted with green beans, olive oil, and Parmesan cheese.

Something I Made: Day 26/31 Day Photo Challenge

I've been working on a quilt for the foot of our bed for.....lets just say a while. Its a low-priority project - I work on it here and there. Maybe it will be finished by the end of the year. :) I bought all of the fabric, including pre-made binding (!) at one of my favorite little crafty spots: Sewn Studios in Oakley. I'm calling it the Library Quilt because I the piecing reminds me of precariously stacked books. I can't wait for it to be finished!

Animal: Day 25/31 Day Photo Challenge

I have no shortage of animals to choose from. Sometimes I wonder why this is the case and how I got here. Oh yeah...maybe because of the overwhelming adorable-ness.

What I Read: Day 21/31 Day Photo Challenge

As I looked back at some of my Girl Scout photos today I re-read this thank you card one of the girls wrote to a firefighter who came and presented. I'd forgotten how really wonderful it is.

Cleaned-Up Text Reads:
Miss Vickie You are a great firefighter and taught me a lot about how to be safe around a fire. Oh yeah - I watched A Thousand Ways to Die. These people ductaped bottles to their hands and a cigarette was lighted and it rolled under the couch and the smoke killed them because they couldn't get the door open so Thanks.

I love EVERYTHING about this.

Front Steps: Day 20/31 Day Photo Challenge

So...I'm deviating from the official photo challenge. I'll probably be doing that in the next few days. Because I can. I was supposed to photograph "inside my bag" but I liked this photo better.

My front steps as I went out for my morning walk.

Technology: Day 18/31 Photo Challenge

I utilized the technology of my iPhone (which they say is more powerful than the computers used to orchestrate the moon landing) to do something highly important. I made this:

Clouds: Day 17/31 Day Photo Challenge

I had the clouds prompt on my mind the past few days and have found myself obsessed with capturing them. In staring at so many I started thinking about them a lot. And I came to the conclusion that I can't believe clouds actually exist in real life.

What I Wore: Day 16/31 Day Photo Challenge

I wore a lot of stuff today, but I thought I'd specifically share what I wore on my fingernails!

Love: Day 15/31 Day Photo Challenge

A beautiful bloom adorning the table where we ate, talked, laughed, and remembered how lucky we are to have each other.

Strength: Day 14/31 Day Photo Challenge

It may look delicate at first glance, but the moss on the pathway in the park where I walk is the epitome of strength. It gets trampled every day but it keeps on keeping on...and thriving.

Fragile: Day 13/31 Day Photo Challenge

The leaves are emerging so early this year. Selfishly, I'm happy about it - I hate bare branches. But in the back of my mind....I know how fragile they are and I wonder if they are growing up too fast.

Time: Day 10/31 Day Photo Challenge

I took several photos of clocks today (Thanks, Ikea!) and then played around with Picasa and made two collages.

First, a traditional mosaic...

And then, all the photos superimposed over top of each other....
